Gwangseong County held the "2025 Gwangseong Blueberry Producers' Cooperative Year-end General Meeting" on the 17th at the Gwangseong Agricultural Technology Center's main hall, as announced on the 18th. The event was attended by 30 cooperative members and relevant officials. The purpose of this total meeting was to review the cooperative's performance over the past year and discuss the direction of the 2026 business and the organization's overall operation. Guests from Gwangseong Agricultural Technology Center, such as Director Seo Yeon-nam, and Han Hui-ju, the APC Center Manager of Gwangseong Agricultural Cooperative, were also present to illuminate the occasion. During the first part of the opening ceremony, Han Sang-gil, the chairman, delivered the opening declaration. This was followed by the national anthem, the introduction of attendees, and the chairman's greeting. Han Sang-gil expressed his gratitude to the members for their diligent adherence to the common sorting and common delivery system despite the challenging circumstances. He also encouraged everyone to continue working together to ensure that the cooperative plays a central role in Gwangseong's blueberry industry in the future. The Gwangseong Agricultural Technology Center's Director Seo Yeon-nam and Han Hui-ju, the APC Center Manager of Gwangseong Agricultural Cooperative, also delivered encouraging speeches, emphasizing their commitment to cooperating for stable production bases and high-quality deliveries. The total meeting also included a commendation ceremony, where a certificate of appreciation was presented to Yoon Hyun-seok, the team leader of the Horticulture Team at the Agricultural Technology Center, for his outstanding work in guiding the field and providing active administrative support for the development and increased income of farmers. During the second part of the meeting, the Agricultural Technology Center's main projects for 2026 were presented, along with the 2025 cooperative business performance and financial reports. The members then shared their harvest results and operational status for the year, discussing potential improvements for the future. During the agenda handling process, the following items were discussed: ▲election of the chairman and secretary-general officers and the formation of the operating committee, ▲handling of the withdrawal of members who retired due to old age, ▲amendment of Article 4 of the regulations regarding the cultivation area standard, and ▲other operational matters. In particular, the amendment proposal for the cultivation area standard was maintained after sufficient discussion. A representative from the Gwangseong Blueberry Producers' Cooperative stated, "This regular general meeting served as a meaningful opportunity for members to reaffirm the cooperative's operating principles and jointly contemplate future development directions." They further expressed their commitment to raising the value of Gwangseong's blueberry brand by promoting systematic common delivery and quality management in the future. The Gwangseong Blueberry Producers' Cooperative is dedicated to increasing farmers' income and promoting sustainable growth in the local blueberry industry through common sorting and common delivery. They are also working closely with Gwangseong Agricultural Cooperative to stabilize their selection and distribution system. In the future, they plan to strengthen their partnership with the Agricultural Technology Center and other relevant organizations to build a high-quality production base and enhance their competitiveness.
