Haenam County's HaeNumi and Haemigi Festival to take place at Land's End Village, Oshiano, and DuRuSan. Land's End, the starting point of the Korean Peninsula, will host a vibrant HaeNumi and Haemigi celebration. The 27th Land's End HaeNumi and Haemigi Festival will be held at Land's End Village, a well-known location where one can witness both the end and beginning of a year. From December 31 to January 1, various programs will be held at Land's End Village. On December 31, NovBrain, Eun Ju (formerly Sunny Hill), Park Gang-su, and other performers will be part of the Land's End Music Festival. At midnight, a countdown to the new year will be accompanied by a grand fireworks display, marking the highlight of the celebration. On January 1, 2026, a variety of events will be held to welcome the Lunar Year of the Red Horse. These include a drum and fire performance, a tug-of-war demonstration, and a lantern release for good fortune. On December 31, the "Land's End One Night" stamp rally will offer limited edition gifts, such as HaeNam rice and Land's End goodies, to participants. Young people from Land's End will also operate the Land's End Grill and provide a New Year's Land's End Free Pass (worth 5,000 won) for visitors to share warmth with locals. Other activities include tarot fortune-telling, making namtae ak-maki keychains, creating LED flowers, and a nighttime free entry to the Haeyang Natural History Museum. Similarly vibrant celebrations will also take place at other HaeNam County's HaeNumi and Haemigi locations. On December 31, at the Oshiano Tourist Complex in Hwayeon-dong, a beautiful sunset will serve as the backdrop for a HaeNumi celebration featuring a ritual, performances, and fireworks. On January 1, at dawn, a HaeMigi ritual, performances, and tteokguk sharing event will be held at the Osojae Park in Bukil-myeon. The last sunset of 2025 is expected at 5:33 PM on December 31, while the first sunrise of 2026 is projected for 7:40 AM on January 1.
