Jangheung County's An Yang-myeon (headed by Baek Su-yeong) is working to provide a safe and warm winter for vulnerable communities by identifying households through the welfare safety network and addressing urgent repairs in collaboration with the Welfare Dynamic Team and checking living environments. The "Our Neighborhood" Welfare Dynamic Team in An Yang-myeon consists of 15 members, functioning as a public-private partnership to carry out proactive volunteer activities, ranging from emergency repairs and living environment improvements to checking on neighbors and identifying welfare blind spots. During the winter season, their primary focus is on households with vulnerable living conditions, particularly single-person households who find it difficult to make even small repairs. They replace non-functioning boilers, clean condenser areas, and check on residents' well-being. An elderly beneficiary of the support expressed gratitude, saying, "With the new boiler, I can use hot water as much as I want, and the electric blanket makes me feel warmer and cozier than before." Baek Su-yeong, An Yang-myeon's head, expressed his appreciation for the collaboration with the private sector, enabling the Welfare Dynamic Team to provide timely assistance to those in need. He also mentioned that they will continue to closely monitor vulnerable residents in the future. This year, An Yang-myeon's Welfare Dynamic Team has provided prompt repair and maintenance services to 19 households, including replacing damaged drainpipes and fixing indoor bathrooms. They have also installed safety bars and celebrated the birthdays of vulnerable residents, significantly contributing to the welfare and care of these communities.
