해남군, 세계 AI와 손잡다 ‘글로벌 AI 협력포럼’ 개최

Haenam County, South Korea, recently hosted the "Global AI Collaboration Forum 2025" at the Haenam County Hall 2nd Floor Auditorium. This event, organized by Haenam County and co-hosted by AI4APAC, aimed to establish a global AI collaboration network between Asia-Pacific (APAC) regions and South Korea, as well as fostering an AI industry ecosystem. AI4APAC is an organization focused on responsible AI, data strategy, and productivity innovation across corporations, governments, and academia to promote the mutual development of AI in the APAC region. It has been actively seeking collaboration with Haenam County, which is emerging as a core hub for the Korean AI industry. The forum gathered around 20 participants, including global AI experts from Australia, South Korea, Southeast Asia, and representatives from Haenam County and corporations. The discussions revolved around "APAC-Korea Innovation Bridge through AI Collaboration." The event featured keynote speeches by experts in various fields, followed by presentations and Q&A sessions on topics such as AI for sustainable agriculture and aquaculture, AI for future food and energy systems, robotics and automation, human-centered and responsible AI for climate critical industries, and AI hub & data center design. Haenam County plans to use this forum as a stepping stone to establish global AI expert collaborations and expand real-world collaborations, such as international joint projects and investment linkages. The county also aims to enhance its industrial competitiveness through knowledge and technology exchange, as well as to explore new AI technologies and business ideas. Son Myeong-do, the Haenam County Governor, expressed his appreciation for the event, stating that it showcased the potential for Haenam to lead in the future AI industry by transcending its current status as an agricultural and renewable energy center. He emphasized the commitment to create tangible changes in the local industry through collaborations with global experts.
