완도군, 전남 농수산 식품 수출 평가서 우수상 수상

Wando County, Jeollanam-do, Receives the Excellence Award in Jeonnam Agricultural, Fisheries, and Food Export Evaluation Wando County, in Jeollanam-do, recently received the Excellence Award in the "2025 Jeonnam Agricultural, Fisheries, and Food Export Outstanding County Evaluation" held on November 28 in Muan County, Jeollanam-do. This evaluation was conducted among 22 counties since October last year until September this year, based on agricultural, fisheries, and food export performance and export increase rate. The evaluation process consisted of a first-round quantitative evaluation followed by a second-round qualitative evaluation of key export support policies and efforts in opening overseas markets. Wando County was highly appreciated for its active efforts in opening overseas markets. Since 2016, Wando County has been operating a trade promotion center, and this year, it has hosted seven overseas promotional exhibitions and two export consultation meetings, as well as participated in three international food fairs to promote the excellence of Wando's seafood products. On the same day, the "Jeonnam Agricultural, Livestock, and Fisheries Products Export Tower Award Ceremony" was held, where Wando County's export companies, such as ㈜Bada Myeongga (50 million dollars), Haemi One Cooperative Corporation (10 million dollars), ㈜Pureun Jungshik Food (5 million dollars), and Wando Sea Cooperative Corporation (2 million dollars), received export towers for their contributions to the region's seafood exports. The representative of (Yu) Daehan Materials, Jeong Dae-han, also received a Jeollanam-do Export Merit Award. Wando County Governor Shin Woo-cheol said, "Thanks to the efforts of the county and export companies, Wando's seafood products have gained global attention." He further stated, "In May next year, we will invite buyers from countries around the world to the International Seaweed Expo and hold export consultation meetings to broaden the export path for Wando's specialty products."
