title: Enhancing Growth and Collaboration: The Gwangseong Mall Story Gwangseong County (County Mayor Jo Sang-rae) recently hosted an intra-mall meeting with directors of detox therapy centers at Teramall Gwangseong on the 18th to express gratitude for the efforts of the mall tenants in driving the growth of Gwangseong Mall throughout 2025. The gathering, which took place on the 19th, aimed to share the successes of the mall in the past year, listen to the on-site opinions of the tenants, and outline the future direction and key projects for Gwangseong Mall in the upcoming year. This meeting served as an opportunity for Gwangseong County to emphasize that Gwangseong Mall has evolved beyond a simple sales channel to become a vital platform for the stable distribution of local agricultural and specialty products, as well as a key pillar connecting the regional economy. As of November 2025, Gwangseong Mall had 119 tenants and 611 items in stock, surpassing 35,000 members and achieving cumulative sales of over 2.4 billion won. The mall consistently implemented monthly themed events and offline and online promotional activities, resulting in continuous growth in new members and increased sales. Additionally, they facilitated the purchase of Gwangseong Train Village admission tickets through Gwangseong Mall, providing a systematic approach for visitors. During the meeting, the success of the "Gwangseong Mall Love for Children Subsidy Project," funded by the Green Umbrella Children's Foundation Fund, was also shared. This project, which is the nation's first public-private partnership model, supports families with children in Gwangseong County using voluntary donations from mall tenants. Through this initiative, approximately 11.5 million won in usable subsidies were provided to 115 vulnerable family households in the county, solidifying Gwangseong Mall's position as a public-benefit online shopping mall that grows alongside the local community. Gwangseong Mall officials expressed gratitude, stating, "Gwangseong Mall was able to achieve meaningful results in a short period due to the dedication and responsibility of its tenants." They further pledged to continue supporting Gwangseong Mall's sustainable growth as a trusted regional online shopping mall for producers and consumers by actively incorporating feedback from the frontlines. In the future, the county plans to enhance event management and expand sales support, further strengthening the self-sustaining cycle of demand and consumption within Gwangseong Mall.
