Enggang-gun (Mayor: Woo Seung-hui) held a "All-Care Effective Village Workshop" at the Namfong Elderly Welfare Housing on the 6th, along with the Resident Participation Team and the RISE Project Team of Sehan University, to determine the priority for solving care gaps. The workshop, known as "Living Lab," is a resident-led problem-solving initiative that consists of three phases: problem identification, idea development, and solution verification. This Enggang-gun workshop is part of the "Local Residence-based Human Resource Development Project" under the Educational Development Special Zone. Following their experience with a health improvement program conducted at the Namfong Elderly Welfare Housing in September this year, 25 members of the Resident Participation Team identified and decided on a priority list for "local care gap solutions" on the day of the workshop. The priority solutions identified by the Resident Participation Team include: establishing a housing complex health management system, forming a community through a lifestyle program, and emphasizing the need for regular health checkups. Based on these priorities, Sehan University's RISE Project Team will develop ideas, verify solutions, and create a workshop result report by the 20th of this month. Enggang-gun plans to incorporate the findings from the report into its comprehensive care policy, which will be used for developing health improvement programs and conducting satisfaction surveys. Choi Bok-yong, the head of the Enggang-gun Human Resource Development and Physical Education Department, shared, "This Living Lab workshop provided a valuable opportunity for residents to raise issues they need to solve themselves. We will incorporate the opinions expressed by residents at the welfare site into our county policies to establish a sustainable, integrated care system created by the county, university, and residents working together."
